There are still seats available for the Volunteer Services Bureau's upcoming 4-part series on Fund Development! Weekly sessions will run from Wednesday, February 1, 2012 until Wednesday, February 22, 2012. They may be taken individually or together as a complete series.  Sessions are from 10:00am to 11:30am.

Swan City Snowmobile Club will be holding a Poker Rally on Saturday, February 25. The Poker Rally will be run on the Swan City Snowmobile Club Trails and registration will take place from 10:00am - 1:00pm. Non-members registration fee is $15, which includes a 1 day pass and 1 hand. Season trail pass members registration fee is $10, which includes 2 hands. There will be a Flea Market (non-profit fundraiser) held Saturday, February 25th, 2012 from 9:00am - 4:00pm
at the Grande Prairie Alliance Church (15502-102 Street). It is free entry to attend this market!There will be face painting, a bake sale and concession for people to enjoy. Knotty Needles hosts a free “Learn to Knit or Crochet” class every Friday from 6:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday from 12:00pm - 4:00pm.  These are educational sessions open to the public of any age.  Knitting and Crocheting encourages constructive hobbies as well as provides health benefits such as; stress management, hand and eye coordination and focus techniques. Some say it’s also good for weight loss because is keeps your hands and mind busy ;)

"Marketing on a Shoestring" will take place at the Redwood Inn & Suites in Grande Prairie on March 7th, from 9:00am - 1:00pm. This workshop is presented and hosted by Travel Alberta. It is an introduction to low cost/no cost marketing incentives and ideas including examples of how other businesses have used and implemented these initiatives. Lunch and beverages will be provided, with no cost to attend the workshop. The a cappella group Epsilon (from Edmonton) will be in Grande Prairie on March 24th, 2012 for a fundraiser. The fundraiser is for the Faya Orphanage Fund Corp and Forgotten Families of Ethiopia. The GP Boys Choir will open for Epsilon, so come out and show your support! Tickets are $32 and are available through the Crystal Centre Box Office or from Shepherd's Fold.
