Grade 6 & Elemntary students from Aspen Grove School fundraising for Haiti

January 26-February 14, 2010

The grade 6 students along with the help of the Aspen Grove Elementary students, parents, and staff are currently putting all our efforts into fundraising to send money to Haiti. Our school (with the grade 6 students leading the way since we have been studying Government - this is our way to make change, show social responsibility, and be fabulous citizens of our city) have been working hard on our "Hearts for Haiti" campaign to raise as much money as we can by Valentine's Day. Each person that donates 1 dollar receives a pink/red heart to write a message of hope or kind words which is then posted up on our gym wall. There are many, many, hearts up already. We wanted to hopefully get our hard work out there and to let the city of GP know what we are doing to raise awareness as the Government will match whatever money we raise.
