CFGP created Kev's Kids to help needy children in Grande Prairie and area who "fall between the cracks".
- 100% of all contributions go back into the community and any administration costs are covered by ROCK 97.7
- Kev's Kids is a board made up of 7 ROCK 97.7 employees and 5 community members.
- We are a registered charity and will supply a tax receipt for all applicable donations.
Kev's Kids was started June 3, 2002 and incorporated May 13, 2005, when a need was identified by members of our community, which included the Manager of our radio station and the United Way. The need was exclusive to "kids who fall between the cracks" in obtaining much needed help that was not addressed by any other agencies or health care. Kev's Kids is governed by a Board of Directors with members consisting of ROCK 97.7 staff and members at large from the community. The organization was named after our morning show host Kevin Albers who champions the cause during his show. The tremendous response from the community has supported the real need that is out there for kids and their families who need that additional "hand up".
