To help extend their trail system to enable children and adults who are physically handicapped to experience a "hike" through a wilderness area that is not currently accessible to wheelchairs or walkers.
The Board of Camp Tamarack continually undertakes projects at the camp that improve the facility for the summer camp children and other youth throughout the year. They are extending their trail system through the bush extending to the back of their lease.
Further plans are to construct a campsite at the far end of the trail that can be used for day picnics, overnight camps and other activities. The far end of the trail is quite remote and would offer city children an opportunity that they would not otherwise be able to experience!
