ROCK 97.7

The Arctic Winter Games officaly kicked off with the Opening Ceremony's Sunday March 7th.

ROCK 97.7 held a day long bottle drive Tuesday Jan 19th to raise money for the Haitian earthquake victims. Big thanks to Recycle Plus and Rosenau Transport for all the help.

The Peace Country had been waiting some time to get their fill of Boogie-Blues Rock... and who better to play that music than the band that perfected the style.

 

ZZ Top live at the EnCana Events Centre proved to be one memorable night for all...lots of dreams were realized on this night... enjoy the pictures!

The Olympic Torch is making its way across Canada before its final stop in Vancouver for the 2010 Games. Grande Prairie was fortunate enough to be a Canadian city during the long journey.... it was a little windy and below freezing but the torch withstood the northern temperature and the cauldron was lit at Muskoseepi Park.

Once again ROCK 97.7 and Rock City teamed up to throw the biggest Halloween Party in Grande Prairie and hundreds of people dressed up in everything from : sexy angels to lego men to celebrate Halloween!

 

Cash prizes were given out all night long and the best overall costume went to an elaborate Jesus costume ($1000 beans cash)
