ROCK 97.7 put out the call for help to Grande Prairie... the Salvation Army Food Bank is running low on supplies, and did you guys ever answer in a huge way! Thank you very much for dropping off food donations...ROCK 97.7 listeners really are the coolest, and most powerful in the city.

An epic night filled with Today's Best ROCK! Inward Eye, Social Code, Default and Buckcherry rocked the EnCana Events Centre for nearly 4 hours!

 

ROCK 97.7 also gave away a jam session package (and a brand spankin' new guitar) to ROCKSTAR VIP Dave Doyle (yah we have that kind of power)

 

 

Grande Prairie had been anticipating this event for quite some time... and boy was it ever full-FILLING!

Grande Prairie and area had been waiting awhile for The Tragically Hip to return... and did they ever! They rocked the big sky of GP at South Bear Creek and thousands of fans were treated to a great performance, from a great Canadian band! Thank you for supporting The Tragically Hip and live music in our City. Congratulations to Sam Coates who proved she was the biggest Tragically Hip fan around...she won a backstage meet and greet with 'The Hip' and a brand new guitar from Long and McQuade and ROCK 97.7

Finally a decent day weather wise and ROCK 97.7 was stoked to spend it on the Earls patio with Cheryl Carruthers and her crew! (we would never forget you Gus and Reggie)

 

Cheryl won the ROCK RAFFLE for her and 7 friends to join us on the Earls patio for Wing Wednesday!

It was a chilly day,  but Peace Country residents still came out to see a great parade.

Bif Naked put on a rockin' show at Rock City on June 26, 2009.

Every Wednesday throughout the summer, one lucky Rockstar VIP will win a taste of Earls for them and 7 of their closest friends.  Neil Batt was our first winner on June 17th, 2009. All he did was enter his name in the Rock Raffle and he was the lucky winner!

 

The weather wasn't very cooperative, so we opted to sit in the lounge at Earls.  All in all, it was a great evening for Neil and 7 of his buddies.

It was a relatively quiet day in GP... until ROCK 97.7 decided to reward some ROCKSTAR VIP's with some FREE GAS!

 

The troops gathered at the Northside Safeway Gas Bar to distribute $50 bucks in gas to the first 30 VIP's that rolled up with a ROCK 97.7 sticker! (we told you they'd come in handy!)
